A Day in the Life of Treatment
While in treatment here, residents’ days begin at 6:45 am and end at 11:00 pm., and they attend daily lectures and will be given assignments to complete based on the lectures.
Evidence shows that individuals with the disease of addiction benefit most from group treatment. Accordingly, residents attend daily small groups and focus groups (such as Grief and Loss Group).
Once a week residents will have an hour-long session with their primary counselor.
Exercise and recreation times are built into our program and are scheduled daily. In addition to indoor activities, such as yoga, recreation time will be held outside, weather permitting.
Each resident is expected to perform a daily work assignment that consists of custodial functions.

There are times when you will be watching movies, however, there is no “television time” allotted for our inpatient residents.

During your stay, you will be able to send and receive “snail mail.” Residents are given scheduled phone times, four calls per week, each for ten minutes.

Meals are served family-style, home-cooked on our campus. You will be provided three meals daily and given an assortment of beverages throughout the day.

When we conduct your initial screening, please inform us of any food allergies you might have.

If you are in need of transportation to one of our facilities, contact us. We will make arrangements to the best of our abilities.
If you need to utilize our transportation service, please be sure to make those arrangements with us in advance.

We take pride in our three-day Family Program, the first of its kind in New York State.
Shortly after residents’ admission, they meet with our Family Department and invite their family members to attend a session. Family members are provided meals in our dining hall as well as lodging here on our campus in our Family Building.

Family sessions, where families can visit the facility to participate. Will begin again on January 1st, 2023.
