What to Bring

Clothing

The client will be residing here, so be sure to pack clothing that is appropriate for their stay: pajamas/bathrobe, pants/shorts, shirts/sweaters, undergarments, socks, sneakers, boots and/or flipflops.

The style and amount of clothing may vary depending on what they have, however please consider the season. We encourage you to not bring an excessive amount and only bring what can fit inside a 3x5 clothing wall locker. You will have access to a laundry facility.

As you plan your wardrobe, do not bring any clothing which displays profanity, graphic images, or any reference to violence, alcohol, sex, or drugs.

Toiletries

Personal hygiene is very important. The client needs to be mindful of the products and their ingredients that they bring. We do not allow any products with alcohol and aerosol products. Some suggested items to include in the toiletry bag: toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, comb/brush/hair styling products and lotion.

Prescription Medication

The client must bring along any current prescription medication in its original labeled bottle or container. Be sure to contact medical providers to ensure a 30-day supply of medication is brought upon admission.

Jewelry and Valuables

Aside from any jewelry that is worn daily, leave the rest at home. A wedding ring and a watch is acceptable.

Money/Documents

When the client arrives, they will be asked to provide a form of identification such as a driver’s license or passport. They will also be asked to provide their insurance card for the treatment services.

Although most clients come with little to no money, be sure bring your checkbook, credit card or debit card to pay for any other medications that may be required during treatment. They will have access to a store to refresh toiletries.

Communication

Communicating with family, friends, and supporters is critical to their recovery journey. They can bring along stamps, envelopes, writing papering, writing instruments, cellphone, small tablet, and/or laptop.
